THE TRAVELLER'S REST, Grasmere

The Traveller's Rest is located on the outskirts of Grasmere village, set at the foot of Helvellyn in the Lake District National Park. Guests can easily access the picturesque village and explore the stunning landscapes of the surrounding fells. The inn offers convenient off-road parking for minibuses, larger cars, and coaches.

The inn comprises 10 letting bedrooms, including three double, four king, one king superior, and two twin rooms, all equipped with en suite facilities. Each room boasts beautiful views of the fells and is uniquely furnished. Guests can enjoy amenities such as color televisions and tea and coffee-making facilities.

The Travellers Rest offers an extensive menu featuring award-winning food, focusing on local and provincial dishes. The traditional bar serves a selection of real ales, an extensive wine cellar, and a variety of malt whiskies. Lunch is available daily from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and dinner is served from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The inn's inviting environment includes traditional wood and stone décor with open fires, making it a cozy spot for relaxation. Outdoor beer gardens provide panoramic views for guests during the summer. The atmosphere draws both locals and tourists alike, enhancing the communal experience.

The inn provides special Christmas stay offers, including a 2-night package with breakfast and Christmas Day lunch.
